I had a chuckle when I read these two bullet points in the Mozilla Firebird 0.6 Known Issues release notes:
- Form auto-complete is still an unstable feature and may lead to crashes.
Followed immediately by:
- Disabling of form auto-completion is not working.
Makes me wonder why I’d ever consider using something other than the World’s Most Popular Browser.
This has been my biggest beef with Phoenix for ages. They’ve known about this glaring and horrible bug for a half a year now and haven’t done anything about it. I still lose my browser every couple days because I quickly tab out of a field and get stuck with the focus on the autocomplete area. Bang. Here’s more information about it: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=184202
Dude,
You should check out Opera. http://www.opera.com. It’s very cool, check out the mouse gestures. pretty dope.
Sam
I’ve never had any problems with this feature. Maybe I’m not using it, but Phoenix (nor Mozilla Firebord) hasn’t crashed since I installed 0.5. And every day it makes me happy I’m not using the world most popular browser, because of its nifty features (such as the auto-googling, interactive page search, tabs (how can you live without it?!), _useful_ sidebars like the download sidebar, et cetera).
